Apocalypse...
Seeing as all theories of the end of the world are, frankly, theories, it is hard to find authoritative sources on the topic. I am searching far and wide (and by that, I mean Google) but cannot find anything yet.

2011 Recap and New Goals
I haven't read anywhere near enough books; I think I have 150 points. I don't think I'll get to 1000 points, but my Book Every Day Challenge will hopefully help that. I'm going to try to read a book every day and take the MindJogger on it the following day. Yesterday's was a re-read, but today's is a new book. Each month, I'll be posting a list of all of the books I've read.
On the zombie front, I caught the sword successfully all three nights and the play was overall one of the best productions I've ever seen. We were published in the Standard Journal for publicity, and the auditorium was packed with parents.
NaNoWriMo, as I've already stated, went poorly. However, the creative writing class I'll be taking after geometry should improve my novel-writing abilities. Also, my reading project will help.
Lastly, I need a new goal. Seeing as it is 2012, I'm considering research on apocalyptic theories, specifically the end of the Mayan calendar. More on that next post.

Fail :(
I finished about 5000 words of the 50,000 I was supposed to write, due to outside complications. I'm going to try again next year. In relation to my online learning goals, I will probably be taking a creative writing course after I finish Geometry.

Goals 2011-2012
I have three goals this year for gifted.
My first goal is to achieve 1000 mindjogger points this year, which will require a lot of devotion to reading. This will also improve my memory skills and my reading comprehension. I will be setting monthly reading goals to achieve this.
My second goal will be participating in the school play as Laertes the zombie.
Finally, my third goal will involve participation in a writing program known as National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, which challenges writers to write a 50,000 word novel within the month of November. This will be a very difficult task.

3rd Marking Period
After the third marking period, I discovered that despite my goal of improving my math grade, it actually decreased due to lack of organizational skills. Therefore, my new goal for the fourth marking period will be to become more organized and bring my math grade back up.
