Update

So today I am just gonna study on classzone. I'm going to do the same thing over the weekend.

New Goal

I will continue saving up for a guitar AND tutoring (but for free this time)...

But this seems to be getting me NOWHERE so I am coming up with a new goal to work on simultaneously. Last marking period, I got my Science average from a 94 to a 100%. This marking period, I'm going to work on building up my math average. It's going to take lots of effort, but the only thing holding myself back is me.

I'll let you know how this is going over the course of the marking period!

I've got the perfect advertising service on my side now:

My little sister Katherine is telling all her friends at Kelly that I am really good at math and that I am going to be a tutor!!

Apparently the sixth grade is extremely bright this year and isn't lacking any necessary tutoring. So I have decided to show young children the joys of math!

BTW, my guitar saving status is $97.10 as of now (I had $100 but I bought Kate a slushy.)

That means I still need $202.85 plus shipping and handling!!!

It's going to be a long month...

Starting Project

My mom said that I can start a tutoring business!! I am going to start by word of mouth...

I will ask my friends to tell their friends to tell their friends that I am starting a tutoring session! I am really excited to be a tutor because I want to be a teacher when I grow up!!

New Year, New Goal

It's the start of seventh grade... FINALLY!

And a new marking period means a new goal...

My goal is to buy and learn to play a guitar! Mrs. Berg said I was really good at playing the guitar, and I thought that I might be even better if I bought my own and learned some new chords!

Obviously, this goal will take a few steps and lots of time. My first step toward my goal is to find some cash to buy an acoustic guitar. I am going to ask my mom if I can start a tutoring business, because I am one of the top students in my grade.

ALL FIGURED OUT!!!

I've been signed up for a one-on-one summer tutoring session so that I can skip straight to Alg2! If I get an A on the final exam of Alg1, I can skip alg1 next year.

I have also concluded not to attend Connections Academy after all.

In the meantime, I will be improving my math skills and researching other things until the end of the school year.

Side Goal!!

I'm now considering attending a cyberschool- my side goal is seeing if it might possibly be an enriching experience.

Test Date Set!

OK i've been studying up on my math skills and I think I'll be ready for the test by my last enrichment day, June 1.
Couldn't be more simple, but it takes a lot of effort.

I did a little reasearch, and I discovered that there is a final exam for all high school math courses: Algebra B, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Integrated Math, you name it. I can only assume, then, that there is an Algebra 1 final exam? If I could take it before the next school year, I can prove that I know everything that I've learned, and skip straight to Algebra 2! SO EXCITING!!!

Cancelling my Goal

I have decided that this goal is unrealistic due to financial losses. I will be changing goals entirely and refocusing on mathematics. I have decided to study algebra A.

1. Find out as much as I can about this school
2. Earn tuition money
3. Create writing pieces for submission
4. Find forms to fill out, and fill out said forms.
5. Apply for the school (not eligible to submit until 7th grade- this is considered a long term goal)
